Engineering project for the grinding of a highly abrasive mineral


Estanda launches a new engineering development for the optimized design of component parts for a horizontal ball mill geared to the grinding process of gold mineral, a high abrasive mineral.

In this first phase, according to the customer requirements of the mining sector, the project will aim at the mono-chamber mill liners design, with a diameter of 4,8 mts. Then, the gold mineral global grinding process will be improved with a new design of the inlet and outlet headwall liners.

The project is intended to improve gold mineral grinding productivity, extending the steel liners mill life that is subjected to wear, and to reduce time and maintenance costs.

This project presents a new challenge for Estanda’s technical capacity and its experience and knowledge in the high abrasive mineral milling process, which goes beyond other known milling processes for cement, limestone, coal and other minerals milling known process.
